Political Communication ( POLCOM) : A Course At UniMAC

UniMAC: A Proactive Step Towards Peaceful Elections?

UniMAC is to be commended for taking a proactive step to reduce election conflict, but the ultimate responsibility for a peaceful and democratic process lies with the political parties themselves, and whether they make the most of the opportunity presented.

In a move praised by some and viewed with skepticism by others, the University of Media, Arts and Communication (UniMAC) has announced it will be bringing together representatives from all participating political parties which includes the like is NPA, UDM, EMA, PDP, NEP, NDP before the official declaration of election results. The aim is to foster dialogue, address potential concerns, and ultimately, contribute to a more peaceful and accepted outcome. This could be a positive step because it would increase transparency, and reduce risk of conflict

Ultimately, people are wondering if this move will make any real impact.

The UniMAC initiative is a bold and potentially valuable experiment. Whether it succeeds in promoting a more peaceful and accepted election outcome remains to be seen. Its success will depend on full

Participation of all parties and a willingness from all sides to engage in constructive dialogue.

What do you think? Is this a worthwhile initiative, or a symbolic gesture? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
